Lance Corporal 24280050. T. George McCALL . Ex 2 UDR

He was shot by PIRA gunmen who were waiting for him to return home at after a night out with his wife on Jockey Lane, Moy Co Tyrone the 2nd August 1975 As they were nearing their home, two masked gunmen stepped out from behind a clump of bushes, guns blazing they ran off, a third gunman who was hiding behind a tree pumped shot after shot into his body. His wife struggled with the gun man but he broke free and ran off towards woodlands bordering the bordering the Blackwater river. He was aged 22, his wife was unarmed.
