HOMER George. Private, 22941, 4th Worcestershire Regiment. Died of wounds 3rd December 1915 at Malta from injuries received in action at Gallipoli. Born at Halesowen, Worcestershire.

ASHFORD Charles Henry. Private, 10437, 6th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment, died 9th December 1915 at a hospital in Malta either from wounds or disease while on active service at Gallipoli . Born at Claydon, Suffolk and lived at Ilkeston, Derbyshire. He was the husband of Ada nee Nicholson who he married on the 21st October 1911 at Kirk Hallam, Derbyshire and who was granted a war gratuity on the 14th March 1916, revised on the 25th August 1919. He was the son of Henry and Kate.

METCALFE Bentley. Private, 12714, 8th Duke of Wellington’s Regiment, died 10th December 1915 in a hospital in Malta of dysentery. Born at Halifax in 1886, enlisted at Derby. He was the husband of Lilian who was granted a war gratuity on the 8th December 1916, revised on the 5th August 1919. In 1911 he was living with his wife, Lilian at 10 Crow Point Booth Town, Yorkshire. He was a stoker at a woollen mill. Son of John and Mary.
