Private 5827067 George Ellis TRUMPETER 4th Suffolk Regiment died a prisoner of war whilst being forced to build the Thailand Burma Railway on the 12th October 1943 aged 25. He is at rest in the Thanbyuzayat War Cemetery, Burma and also commemorated on a war memorial in the Church of St John the Baptist, Campsea Ashe, Suffolk
