George Edward FISHER. Stoker 1st Class K/14432 Royal Navy on H M Submarine D 3. Born 18 August 1893 at Cranham, Gloucestershire, enlisted 17th April 1912, occupation prior to enlistment, labourer. Died at sea 15 March 1918 aged 24. Son of Eli and Frances E. Fisher, of Sutton's Mill, Cranham, Stroud, Glos.
Grandson of Edwin and Elizabeth Fisher who gave his life for his country March 1918 aged 24. Commemorated on his grandparents memorial in St James the Great Churchyard, Cranham Gloucestershire. Commemorated on the Plymouth Naval Memorial, Devon.
