Private 24582621 Geoffrey K CAMPBELL, Ex 3rd Ulster Defence Regiment, now Full Time Reserve Constable RUC. He was with 8 other RUC comrades during the Newry Station mortar attack at 5pm 28 February 1985 the PIRA launched a mortar attack on RUC Station, Corry Square Newry County Down from a white transit van parked in Monaghan Street near the station killing nine RUC officers. Not sure how many mortars were fired but one made a direct hit on the canteen. He is commemorated memorial plaque at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire.
