Extended Description
REEVES Gaius (Gayeus) Private 16841, B Company, 9th Gloucestershire Regiment. Died 29th July 1916 aged 27 in Military Hospital, St Andrews, Malta, from the effects of war at Salonika. He was the son of George and Annie, husband of Daisey, (nee Taylor) of 2, Coteford Street, Tooting London. Till the dawn. His birth was registered 1889, Aylesbury as Gayeus Reeves.

BALL Frederick. Private, SS/21307, 29th Labour Company, Royal Army Service Corps, died 31st July 1916 at Malta, son of Harriet.

WRIGHT Herbert Rowland Seaton. Sapper, 47564, 27th Division, Postal Section, Royal Engineers, died 3rd August 1916 in a hospital in Malta. He was born in 1881 to George and Emma of (1901 census) living at 140 Plashel Lane, East Ham, London, occupation, post man for the General Post Office.
In 1911, married and living with his wife, Deborah Agnes at 80 Wanstead Park Avenue, Manor Park, North East Ham, London, and a sorter with the General Post Office.
He was married on the 9th October 1909 at Holy Trinity Church, Mile End, Old Town, Stepney, Middlesex to Miss Deborah Agnes Browning. Herbert was aged 27 and was a G.P.O. sorter living at 58 Grove Road, East Ham, father George. Deborah was aged 23, living at 46 Swaton Road, Bow, father Herbert. Their children were, Constance Agnes, born 18th May 1911 and Roland Seaton, born 27th September 1913.
Some notes from what remains of his army records.
He joined the Post Office Section, Army Service Corps on the 23rd November 1914 aged 32 years and 7 months, occupation employed by the General Post Office. He was posted to the Postal Section, Royal Engineers, Depot. Chatham. After he had completed his training he embarked on the 27th March 1915 for France, disembarking at Le Harve the same day. On the 24th November 1915 he embarked with 26th Division from Marseilles, disembarked at Salonika and joined Base Army Post Office at Salonika on the 13th December 1915. At date not recorded he fell ill whilst in Salonica. He was reported dangerously ill in a hospital in Malta 1st August 1916 and died on the 3rd August 1916 from cerebral malaria.
