G033 WILLIAM GEORGE STEPHEN SLEDGE. Gunner 167259 Royal Navy on HMS Queen. Born 28 May 1877 at Landport Hampshire, enlisted 30 May 1892 as Boy 2nd Class on HMS St Vincent. Civilian occupation, school boy. 1891 pupil at the Royal Hospital School, Greenwich, London. 1911 residing with his wife Edith Janet, nee Taplen and children at 4 Frensham Road, East Southsea, Portsmouth. Serving in the Royal Navy as Warrant Officer. Died 3 May 1915 aged 38 years on Hospital Ship Somali from shrapnel wounds of his neck received in action 26 April 1915 at the landing at Anzac.

WILLIAM JAMES GATES. Leading Stoker 306108 Royal Navy on HMS Queen. Born 12 April 1884 at Headley, Hampshire to Stephen and Evelina Elizabeth Gates nee Millis. Enlisted 7 March 1904 on HMS Nelson. Civilian occupation, general labourer. Killed by a bullet wound to his head whilst in picket boat astern of HMS Queen off Gaba Tepe 25 April 1915 aged 31 years at the landing at Anzac, Dardanelles. His father of 3 Fair View Terrace, Headley, Dordon, Kent was informed of his death. Buried at sea.

ARTHUR JAMES TAYLOR. Able Seaman J7878 Royal Navy on HMS Queen. Died of wounds 27 April 1915 aged 27 at the landing at Anzac, Dardanelles of a bullet wound to his brain. Buried at Sea. Son of Arthur and Emily Louisa Taylor, of 32, Manor Rd., Stourport, Worcestershire. Native of Cardiff.
