G133 PATRICK ARTHUR BOOTH. Lieutenant, Pilot, Royal Navy on HMS London Stationed at RAF Kalafrana, Malta Born 5 March 1907 at St George, Hanover Square, London to Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Macauley Booth and Elizabeth Alice nee Powell. 1911 residing with his parents and siblings at Married Quarters, Gordon Highlanders, The Cannons, Colchester, Essex. Enlisted 15 September 1920. Promotions, Acting Sub-Lieutenant 24 May 1927, Sub-Lieutenant 16 February 1928, Lieutenant 16 June 1930. Died by drowning in an aircraft accident 30th November 1937 aged 30 years. He was flying a Walrus I K8345 when it hit a power cable and dived into the sea at Kalafrana, Malta. LAC Norman Stewart Burns another crew member also died at the scene. Wills and Admin, Ancestry - His home address was 18 Adelaide Crescent, Hove, Sussex died on date stated. His effects went to his father.
