G102 CHARLES PEROWNE CHRISTIE. Lieutenant Commander Royal Navy HMS Courageous. Born 16th August 1893 at Ongar, Essex to Charles Henry Fehler and Margaret Eleanor Christie, nee Palmer. 1901 residing with his parents and siblings at The Wilderness, High Street, Chipping Ongar, Essex. Enlisted 15 May 1906, promoted to Midshipman 15 January 1911 came up through the ranks promoted to Lieutenant Commander 15 July 1924. He married Caroline Stella Dyson 28 April 1923 at St Alphege Church, Greenwich, London. Admitted to Royal Naval Hospital, Bighi, Malta 26 January 1929, died at 01.58 on the 7th February 1929 aged 36, of appendicitis and cardiac failure. Wills and Admin, Ancestry - Died on date and place stated. His effects went to his widow Caroline Stella Christie, nee Dyson.
