G087 HENRY ROGER HANCOX. Lieutenant, Pilot, Royal Navy, Flying Officer Royal Air Force, RAF Base Calafrana. Born 4th March 1898 at Kensington, London. Only child of Lieutenant Colonel Henry Percy and Mary Frances Hancox, nee Holman. Enlisted January 1911 Died in Royal Naval Hospital, Bighi, Malta 11th February 1926, aged 27 years a s the result of an accident whilst flying a Fairey Flycatcher on active service in the Fleet Air Arm at Malta, His injuries were fractured spine and 6 and 7 transverse lesion cord.
1914 – 1918 Gallipoli, Dover Patrol, Jutland, Dover Patrol, Storming of Zeebrugge, Caspian Sea. Memorial tablet in St.Paul’s Anglican Cathedral, Valletta.
At rest in Plot G grave 87 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
