- G080 MERETON JOHN JAMES. Surveyor at, HM Dockyard, Malta. Born 1871 at Portsmouth, Hampshire to William and Mary Ann Jane James, nee Penry. 1891 residing with his parents and siblings at 33 Dartmore Street, Park Road, Kentish Town, London. He married Helen Maud Turner on the 12 October 1895 at St Faith, Wandsworth. 1911 he was residing with his wife and his children at 63 Melody Road, Wandsworth, London, occupation a surveyor of works. When his daughter Freda Nellie was married 2 July 1921 at Wandsworth, he was employed as an admiralty surveyor. Died 5th January 1924 aged 53 years. Wills and Admin, Ancestry - He resided at 5 Victoria Avenue, Sliema, Malta. His effects went to Alfred James, commercial traveller.
