G073 WILLIAM THOMAS JONES MAY. Boatswain 13007, Royal Navy on HMS Blenheim. Born 17 September 1866 at Plymouth, Devon to John and Elizabeth May, nee Harris. 1871 residing with his parents and siblings at Underwood, Plymton St Mary, Devon. Enlisted 2 June 1885 on HMS Indus as Stoker 2nd Class. Appointed Chief Stoker, 10 April 1899. In 1902 he married in Plymouth Florence Jane Crimp. He accidentally drowned whilst bathing 11th June 1921 aged 40 years at Ghiam Tuffieha, (now called Golden Bay, formerly k/a Military Bay) near Mellieha, Malta. Wills and Admin, Ancestry - His residence in England was 277 Laburnum Grove, North End, Portsmouth, Hampshire. Serving on HMS Cochrane, Royal Navy. His effects went to his widow Florence Jane May nee Crimp.

At rest in Plot G grave 73 Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
