Frederick mossing was born July 24, 1923 in Bengough in Saskatchewan. He lives in Regina and served in the Home Guard before entering the RCAF October 22, 1941. He completed his training at the ITS 5 to 13 and then to STET SFTS 8 before being promoted to Sgt and earning his wings November 6, 1942 Posted in Britain next month, he was promoted officer on June 27, 1944. in early 1945, he was F / O to Squadron 274 on Tempest and won several victories in February . Promoted F / L, he was transferred to the 56 OTU at Milfield instructor, May 4, 1945. He kills eight days later flying his EJ685 Tempest in a crash during a training flight .
