Frederick MARSH. Private 266849, 2/6th Gloucestershire Regiment. Born 1889 to Charles and Elizabeth, nee Organ. 1901 residing with his parents and siblings at 15 Gloucester Street, Wotton-under-Edge. 1911 with his parents and siblings at Kingswood, near Wotton-under-Edge, occupation, farm labourer. Joined the Gloucestershire Regiment 17th March 1916 at Horfield Barracks, Bristol. Received a gunshot wound to his right forearm in France 24 April 1917. Invalided to Royal Victoria Hospital, Netley, Hampshire England and War Hospital, Exeter. Posted to 154th Territorial Force Depot where he was discharged physically unfit for further war service on the 9 October 1918. He was entitled to wear on gold wound strip and one blue chevron. 1923 he married Rose Agnes Gingell 1923 in the registration district of Dursley, Glos. He died in the registration district of Bristol 11 July 1929 aged 30 years. At rest in grave 208, Wotton-under-Edge Cemetery, Gloucestershire.
