FREDERICK LIGHTFOOT (Commemoration only) WILLIAM CLARKE,

Extended Description
LIGHTFOOT Frederick. Rifleman 4654, E Coy, 1st King's Royal Rifles. Born 29 June 1883 at Colton Staffordshire to George and Ellen Lightfoot, nee Bradbury. In 1891 residing with his parents and siblings at Peel Street, Stafford Town, 1901 his parents and siblings at 19 Ingestre Road, Stafford Town. He joined the Kings Royal Rifles at the Depot, Gosport, Hampshire on the 11th August 1902 aged 19 years and 2 months, occupation prior to enlistment, railway porter. After he had completed his training, he was posted to the 1st battalion on the 19 February 1902. The 19 February 1903 he was posted to Malta, where he died 29 August 1904 at 10.18 pm of fever at Imtarfa Military Hospital on the 29th August 1904 aged 21. His father was granted a gratuity on the 11th November 1904.

Commemoration.
CLARKE William Haynes. Rifleman 3671 E Coy, 1st King's Royal Rifles. Died of Fever at Citta Vecchia Hospital, Valetta, Malta on the 15th September 1903 aged 20. Native of Birmingham, enlisted on the 11th June 1901, occupation prior to enlistment, labourer. Son of George and husband of Lily who was granted a gratuity on the 19th November 1903.

He is commemorated on this memorial and is at rest in Plot 4 Row 2 Grave 10 in Imtarfa Military Cemetery, Malta.
