TURNER Frederick James Sedgley. Pte 51014, 9th Cheshire Regt. Born 1886 to Reuben Sedgley Turner and Caroline Ann, nee Reed of Adlestrop and brother of Maurice who also fell. 1911 Frederick was a washhouse (Laundrey) porter aged 25 Husband of Charlotte Annie Sedgley-Turner of 6 Camberwell Terrace, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. Enlisted aged 31 years and 2 months 16 February 1917. Embarked for France from Southampton 11 May 1917, disembarked at Rouen the next day. and posted to the 14 Battalion, transferred to the 9th 28 May 1917. Killed in action 19/7/1917 age 31. His widow was granted a war gratuity 17 November 1917 revised 13 October 1919. At rest in Oosttaverne Wood Cemetery, Belgium I.D.4
