SHERRIFF Frederick George. Lance Corporal, M2/148173, 766th Mechanical Transport (Motor Transport). Coy, Royal Army Service Corps, attached to the Royal Garrison Artillery. Died of malaria, 18th January 1917, aged 22 years in Malta. Son of George and Eveline Sherriff, of 23 The Avenue, Gipsy Hill, London.

HAMMOND George. Driver, 48097, 22nd Divisional Ammunition Colum, Royal Field Artillery. Died 16th January 1917, aged 35 years at Military Hospital, Imtarfa, Malta. Son of William and Julia Hammond, of The Causeway, Occold, Eye, Suffolk.

WILLIAMS Harry Private, 13991, 8th Battalion, King’s Shropshire Light Infantry. Died of wounds 8th January 1917 in Malta from injuries received whilst in action at Salonika. Born at Llangonoyd, Higher Maesteg, Glamorganshire and lived at Nantyfyllon, near Maesteg, Glamorganshire. Son of Thomas who was granted a war gratuity on the 24th April 1917 and revised on the 28th November 1919.
