Frank Charles Osman WINTER. Stoker 292790, Royal Navy on HMS Prince of Wales. Born 2nd May 1881 at Titchfield, Hampshire, enlisted 14th August 1899, occupation prior to enlistment, Labourer. Died at sea from his injuries received on the evening 16th April 1906 age 25 by scalding caused by a violent escape of steam during a full power trial on the seas in HMS Prince of Wales. He died along with Stoker HOOKER and SOUTHALL. In 1891 he was living with his parents Luke and Alice Ann, nee Osman and his siblings at Beacon Bottom, Titchfield, Hampshire In 1881 his father had serving as Leading Stoker in the Royal Navy. His mother was informed of his death on the 24th April 1906.

His father, Luke, was born in 1848 at Titchfield Hampshire, enlisted 1st January 1873, occupation prior to enlistment, farmer. First ship was HMS Hector last ship was HMS Asia. Discharged to pension on the 25th August 1886 as 48055 Leading Stoker.

Sidney Ralph Cleophas HOOKER. Stoker 286270 Royal Navy on HMS Prince of Wales. Born 28th February 1878 at Southampton, Hampshire , enlisted 27th October 1897, occupation prior to enlistment, merchant seaman. Died at sea from his injuries received on the evening 16th April 1906 age 28 by scalding caused by a violent escape of steam during a full power trial on the seas in HMS Prince of Wales. He died along with Stoker WINTER and SOUTHALL. His grandmother, Sarah was informed of his death on the 18th April 1906. His grandfather was called George.

Edmund Isaac Francis SOUTHALL. Stoker 297186. Royal Navy on HMS Prince of Wales. Born 13th March 1883 at Cradley Heath, Worcestershire to Isaac and Letitiah nee Bailey. In 1901 he was living with his parents and siblings at 124 Ash Road, Aston,Warwickshire. Enlisted 13th April 1901, occupation prior to enlistment, coachbilder. (Railway Wagon Builder) died at sea on the 17th April from his injuries received on the evening 16th April 1906 age 23 by scalding caused by a violent escape of steam during a full power trial on the seas in HMS Prince of Wales. He died along with Stoker WINTER and HOOKER. His mother was informed of his death on the 18th April 1906. N.B. His inscription reads Edmund J F Southall.
