VICKERS Frank Henry. Driver (Sapper), 4/222/B, No.1 Field Coy, New Zealand Engineers, died of his wounds, 31st May 1915, aged 26 and not 19 years as stated by the CWGC. The age displayed by the CWGC came from records that were supplied to them from a military source when the stone was being engraved in 1915. Born 14th November 1889 to Henry and Caroline Vickers, of Brighton, England. Wills and Admin. Ancestry. He lived at 4 Gwydyr Mansions, Hove Sussex. Driver 1st Field Company Engineers, New Zealand Expeditionary Force died on date stated but not location. (It is shown as the Dardanelles and not Malta) His effects went to Archibald Vickers, manufacturer. At rest in Plot IV. Row 1A.
