Extended Description: In memory Able Seaman D/SSX 24853 Frank CARTY Royal Navy and all who lost their lives in H.M. Submarine Olympus on the 8th May 1942 aged 22. He was the son of Henry and Sarah E of Ardsley, Yorkshire. He is commemorated on a plaque at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire and also on the Plymouth Naval Memorial, Devon.
