Extended Description: Gunner 165064, 279 Siege battery, Royal Garrison Artillery, killed in action in Belgium 29th November 1917 aged 35. Husband of Fanny, of Moss Side, Manchester. Native of West Bromwich, Staffordshire.

Commemorated on a family memorial at Manchester Southern Cemetery, and is buried at Vlamertinghe New Military Cemetery, Ieper, Belgium.

N.B. The headstone states he was killed in France, all records show he was killed in Belgium.
