BILL John Hugo Hepburn Lt Col Indian Political Department (Political Officer Mosul) died 2/11/1919. Buried in North Gate War Cemetery Bagdad Iraq XIX.G.4

CRITCHLOW Thomas Philip, L/Cpl 12656 3rd Grenadier Guards died 8/10/1915 age 29. Son of Martha. Commemorated on the Loos Memorial France

JOHNSON, Samuel, Pte 29303 1st East Lancashire Regt died 18/10/1916 age 26. Son of William and Myra, The Mill Alton, near Farley Staffordshire. Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial Somme, France

RICHARDSON Joseph, Private G/38068, The Buffs, 7th East Kent Regiment, killed in action is France 12th October 1917 aged 33. He enlisted on the 19th March 1917, sent to France on the 19th June 1917 and was killed on the 12th October 1917. He was the son of Joseph and Mary Richardson nee Whieldon of Ribden, Oakamoor near Farley. His father was a self employed farmer.1911 he was working on a farm whith his brother John who were working together on a farm Farley Estate. He is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium

ROWLINSON (search under RAwlinson) Bertram, Private, PLY/9/S, 3. Coy, Plymouth Battalion, Royal Marine Light Infantry, Enlisted 15th September 1914, his occupation at enlistment was a quarry labourer. He was killed in action at Kum Kale, 4th March 1915. Son of Richard of Haybank, Farley. Commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Turkey. An extract from the Cheadle Herald dated March 1915 (Alton, Marine killed) The notice on the death Pte B Rowlinson of Hay Bank, Farley was received on Wednesday last. Pte Robinson (as inserted) joined the Marine Light Infantry in September. He was on the landing party operating against the Turks in the Dardenelles Forts when he met his death. Native of Farley, Staffs

SALT James Pte 60492 15th West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales Own) died 22/4/1918 age 19. Son of Elijah & Eleanor, 43 Weaver Villa, Oakamoor Staffs. Native of Cauldon Lowe Staffordshire. Buried in Ebblinghem Military Cemetery France II.A.36
