- F090 DOUGLAS LESLIE CALTON Leading Aircraftman 1054303, Royal Air Force (VR). Born 1920 at Plomesgate, Suffolk to Ernest Leslie and Christina Agnes Calton nee Aldous. Died 23rd February 1942
F090 RAY VERNON HARVEY, Flight-Sergeant, Pilot, R/67086, Royal Canadian Air Force, attached 242 Squadron, at RAF Ta’ Quali. Born 2 March 1919 at Deseronto, Ontario to Alexander and Laura Harvey, of Deseronto, Ontario, Canada. Enlisted 16 August 1940 and posted to No 2 Manning Depot, Manitoba, Canada as observer. He had previously applied to join the air force 26 February 1940 but got no reply. He had previously served with Deseronto High School Cadets from 1932-1937. Killed while flying a Hurrican aircraft in action 1st March 1942 aged 22 years as the result of being shot down in by a German fighter aircraft, crashed into the sea off Kalafrana. He had bailed out into the sea burnt and mortally wounded, but when rescue arrived, he had passed away.
F090 ROBERT WATSON KEMP, Aircraftman 1st Class 1116632, Royal Air Force (VR). Son of Alexander and Isabella Ewart Kemp, Dalmuir, Dumbartonshire. Died 15th February 1942 aged 21 years.
F090 THADY BRIAN MACNAMARA Pilot-Officer, Pilot, 65586, (formerly N.C.O 1252629) Royal Air Force (VR), 242 Squadron at RAF Ta’ Quali, Malta. Born 1921 in Lexden, London to Eric Thady and Cherrie Galsworthy MacNamara, nee Messum of Appledore Heath, Kent. Died 24th February 1942 aged 21 years as the result of enemy bombing over his airfield and other parts of Malta. Commemorated on the Lewisham War Memorial, London.
