F070 PETER BENJAMIN DIVE. Sergeant, Observer 401273, Royal Australian Air Force attached to 69 Squadron, RAF stationed at RAF Luqa. Born 2 February 1920 at Lautoka, Fiji to Jeffrey Cecil and Hilda Florence Dive, of 1809 of Malvern Road, Victoria, Australia. He was crew of Martin Maryland Mk 1, BS766 medium bomber on air operations. Died 23rd December 1941 aged 21 years. His plane had been shot up by enemy aircraft, the pilot returned to RAF Luqa crashed landed and caught fire at 1415 hours



F070 HENRY BEYNON METCALFE. Flight-Sergeant, Wireless Operator/Air Gunner, 653570, 69 Squadron. Born 1920 to Henry Benynon and Nellie Metcalfe, of Higher Tranmere, Birkenhead. He was crew of Martin Maryland Mk 1, BS766 medium bomber on air operations. Died 23rd December 1941 aged 21 years. His plane had been shot up by enemy aircraft, the pilot returned to RAF Luqa crashed landed and caught fire at 1415 hours

Both at rest in Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta Plot F Grave 70.
