F010 WILLIAM JOHN TIMMS. Sergeant, Pilot, 740209, Royal Air Force (VR), 261 Squadron. Born 1916 in the registration district of Northampton to John William and Kate Timms, nee Jones. Husband of Kathleen Timms, nee Dickinson of Kettering, Northamptonshire who he married 1940 in in Kettering. Died 11th January 1941 aged 25 years. While he was flying his Hawker Hurricane, he suffered from oxygen failure and engine problem. He was attempting to do a forced landing at RAF Luqa when he committed a low-level bale-out. He was recovered not too far from his crashed plane. Wills and Admin, Ancestry - His residence in England was 136 Evington Lane, Leicester. His effects went to his widow.
