Marine Ethan JONES. On the 21 January 2020 during a beach training assault exercise from Royal Marine Landing Craft at Tregantle Beach, Cornwall, he had been wearing full kit and had gone under water during the exercise on Tuesday evening. He was submerged in the water for about 5 minutes, medical treatment was given at scene. He was flown to Derriford Hospital by air ambulance on the evening of January 21. He was pronounce dead in hospital 24 January 2020, aged 20. He joined the Royal Marines on May 27 2019 to start 32 weeks of military training.
