Ernest Neander JONES

Private 1810, Ernest Neander JONES, Cheshire Yeomanry, died 7th June 1917 aged 24. He is buried in St Peter Churchyard, Holywell, but commemorated on a special headstone at St Margaret Churchyard, Bodelwyddan, Denbighshire Wales.
He was the son of Thomas and Hannah and in 1911 his mother was a widow. He was residing with his mother and siblings at 4, Bank Place High Street, Holywell.
Some notes for what is left of his Army Record -
He enlisted 18 August 1915, gave his date of birth as 18 June 1893, occupation, Solicitors Clerk. He named his mother, Hannah of 4, Sea View, Holywell, Flintshire as his next of kin. He was discharged from the army 7 July 1916 at Little Fernhill Camp, Gobowen, Shropshire as being medically unfit. His discharge was recommended owing to general ill health. He was a man of very poor physique, a chronic invalid.
