Lance Corporal 14441, 10th Warwickshire regiment died of wounds in France. Born at Incombe Gloucestershire and resident at Ladywood, Birmingham. Commemorated on his brother Albert Victor who also fell, memorial at Winchombe Cemetery, Gloucestershire and also on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme France. Son of Phillip & Georgina of Wyck Mill, Inchombe, Gloucestershire
Brother of Albert who fell and Private 2463 William Charles West, Gloucestershire Regiment wounded in action, shot in the right arm 28th April 1916 and survived the war and was resident at Vinyard Street, Winchombe and Private 20023, George Herbert (correct birth name is Herbert George Rachel) 12th Gloucestershire Regiment, he also survived the war.
