MADGE, Ernest Edward, DSC. Lieutenant Commander, Royal Navy Reserve Died 8th August 1939 Buried at Ashbourne Cemetery Derbyshire
He was born at Oxton, Cheshire on the 22nd September 1884 to Henry Wooley Madge and Mary Elizabeth nee Hampson of 37 Bidstone Road, Oxton. In 1911 he was Acting Lieutenant, Royal Navy at Royal Naval Barracks, Keyham, Devonp[ort. Prior to his death he lived at the Queen's Arms Hotel, Mayfield, Staffordshire and died at the Victoria Memorial Hospital, Ashbourne, Derbyshire. His effects went to his brother, Quintus Madge, Medical Practitioner and Rochard Holland, Solicitor.
