DAINTY, Eric. Warrant Officer, Pilot, D.F.M. 741554, 100 Squadron, Royal Air Force stationed at RAF Grimsby. He was killed on active service 12th June 1943 aged 35, He was the son of Joseph and Ethel May of Rosetor, Broad Lane, Wednesfield, Staffordshire and he was the husband of Marjorie.
He is commemorated on a family grave in Bentley Cemetery, Willenhall, Staffordshire and is at rest in Reichswald Forest War Cemetery, Nordfhein-Westfalen, Germany. He is also commemorated on the Lincolnshire Bomber Command Memorial.
He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Medal when he was flying with 144 Squadron. The names of the other crew are as follows and also at rest in the same cemetery. Per Ardua Ad Astra
