ELLIS Gordon, Private 13734, 5th Canadian Infantry (Saskatchewan Regt), killed in action at Festubert 24th May 1915 aged 20. Son of Harry George and Ellen (Martha) of Chipping Campden. Commemorated on the Vimy Memorial, France and his parents memorial in Chipping Campden, St James Curchyard
Please note. On the memorial is wife is given as Ellen, it appears that he has remarried on the 1911 census his wife is given as Martha, from Cotton, near Alton, Staffordshire
