Eliza Millicent ELVINS. Sister QARNNSR. Serving on H.M. Hospital Ship Drina.

Born 1886 at Wick Great Alne, Warwickshire to Thomas and Mary Ann Elvins, nee Weetman. 1891-1901 residing with her parents and siblings at Flour Mill House, Great Alne, Warwickshire. 1911 Nursing at the London Hospital, Whitechapel, Middlesex

She was killed onboard, as a guest, HMS Natal while at anchor in Nigg Bay, Cromerty Firth, Scotland when the ship experienced an internal explosion 30 December 1915.

Commemorated on the Chatham Naval Memorial, Kent.

When she joined up, she gave her mother as her next of kin, residing at 65 Whitehall Road, Handsworth, Birmingham.
Joined up August 1914 at Royal Naval Hospital Haslar. 3 December 1914 she went to Osbourne College, returned to Haslar 24 December 1914. She joined Hospital Ship, Drina 20 February 1915. 19 July 1915 joined HMHS Karapara
30 December 1915 reported killed in an explosion on board HMS Natal.
