Eleanor DABNER. Nurse VAD. Stationed at Brook War Hospital, Woolwich, London.

Born 1898 to William Harry and Frances Dabner, nee Ralph

1901 residing with her parents and siblings at 5 Lincolnshire Terrace, Darenth, Kent. 1911 recorded as Nellie aged 13 in Dartford Union Children's Home, Manor Gate, Wilmington, Kent. No date found when she joined the VAD. She was posted to the above hospital 28 April 1918 and died 12 days before the end of the Great War at Brook War Hospital of influenza and pneumonia 30 October 1918 aged 20.

A war gratuity was granted 18 May 1920 to her sister Mrs Florence Annie ? looks like Rainbow

She is at rest in an unmarked grave in Greenwich Cemetery, known as Shooters Hill Cemetery, Woolwich. Also commemorated on a Screen Wall at that cemetery.
