Wasn't a test - was an ejection by one of the USAF Thunderbirds during an airshow in 2003. The pilot attempted a split- S manouver with an incorrect idea of his starting altitude and ejected just before the aircraft impacted. He ejected safely and nobody on the ground was hurt.
