Edwin Andrews Boyt served in the Great War as Private 4823 and 266658, Gloucestershire Regiment., his uncle Gerald Boyt also served with the 1/5th Gloucestershire Regiment as Private 240148. Enlisted aged 17, and lived at Tytherington, near Thornbury. His son J ephunneth Edwin BOYT. Corporal, Royal Tank Regiment killed in action at Mareth, Tunisia on the 22nd March 1943 aged 23 His father is at rest in Thornbury Cemetery, Thornbury, Glos
