Edward Richard NEAL. Supply Assistant P/MX 71061, Edward Richard NEAL, H.M.S Hood, Royal Navy, He was born in 1915 at Swindon, Wiltshire died at sea 24th May 1941, aged 26. He was the son of George and Elsie May nee Townsend who in 1911 were living at 197, Rodbourne Road, Swindon. Commemorated on the Portsmouth Naval Memorial, Hampshire, also on a Poppy Cross at Blythe Bridge War Memorial, 8th November 2015.
