Edward McVICKER

Third Engineer Officer Edward (Ted) McVICKER. Merchant Navy, on M.V.Shelbrit I. (Swansea) Lost at sea through enemy action on the 19th September 1940 aged 38. He was the son of Matthew and Margaret. The ship caught fire and blew up near Scotland with the loss of all hands. 20 crew and one soldier, a gunner. He is commemorated on his parents memorial at Dundonald Cemetery, County Down, Northern Ireland and also on the Tower Hill Memorial, London.
