Sergeant (Pilot) Edward John BIDDULPH No. 778574 Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. RAF Cottesmore, Rutland.
Died 25 March 1942 aged 20. Laid to rest 30 March 1942.

Sergeant Biddulph was the pilot on a night navigation sortie. Also on board were Sergeant A W Westgate No. 403630 New Zealand, Sergeant R V Daniels No. 404603 Australia, Sergeant B Noseworthy No. 798569 Canada. They were the crew of Handley-Page Hampden P5398 which took off from RAF Cottesmore on a night navigation sortie. At 2110 the aircraft plunged into the ground and caught fire at Whittle Farm, Brockhampton, 5 miles east of Cheltenham. All were killed.

Son of Frederick Charles and Mabel Price Biddulph, of Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia.

At rest at Little Rissington St Peter churchyard, Gloucestershire.
