2nd Lieutenant Edmund Ronayne MAHONY. Irish Guards. Born 3 July 1899 to Edmund Ronayne and Elizabeth Mary Mahony, nee Comyn. Husband of Maria, nee Cervera. Died 9 April 1990 at Park Hospital, Killinan County Galway, Ireland. Last known address was Killinan Kilchreest, Loughrea, County Galway.

London Gazette dated 5 May 1915 Regular Forces -
PERSONAL STAFF. Aides-de-Camp. E. R. Mahony, to be temporary Second Lieutenant. Dated 25th April 1915. He rose through the ranks to Lieutenant Colonel.

London Gazette dated 11 June 1940 -
Foot Guards, Irish Guards. Major E.R. Mahony, to be Lt-Col 15 May 1940.

London Gazette dated 14 October 1949 -
Irish Guards
Lt.-Col. E. R. MAHONY (22974) having exceeded the age limit for retirement is placed on ret. pay,
15th 'Oct. 1949, and. is granted the hon. rank of Brigadier
