Edmund Isaac Francis SOUTHALL. Stoker 297186. Royal Navy on HMS Prince of Wales. Born 13th March 1883 at Cradley Heath, Worcestershire to Isaac and Letitiah nee Bailey. In 1901 he was living with his parents and siblings at 124 Ash Road, Aston,Warwickshire. Enlisted 13th April 1901, occupation prior to enlistment, coachbilder. (Railway Wagon Builder) died at sea on the 17 from his injuries received on the evening 16th April 1906 age 23 by scalding caused by a violent escape of steam during a full power trial on the seas in HMS Prince of Wales. He died along with Stoker WINTER and HOOKER. His mother was informed of his death on the 18th April 1906. At rest in Plot B Grave 125, Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta. N.B. His inscription reads Edmund J F Southall.
