Edith Delves BROUGHTON nee RIALL

Extended Description: Edith May Marian RIALL (k/a Edith Delves BROUGHTON). Nurse VAD.

Born 1850 at Bray Dublin to Phineas and Mary Anne Riall, nee Roe. Wife of Lieutenant Colonel Delves Broughton, 15th Regiment who she married 16 October 1872 at Christ Church Bray by the Rev Lionel Plunkett.

1891-1901 she resided with her husband at No 4 Embankment, Bedford, Bedfordshire. 1901 her husband had retired from the army. 1911 with her husband and daughter Mary Edith at Delverne, Farnham Surrey.

Died of influenza in Farnham Surrey 9 December 1916

Edith May Marian Broughton of Delverne Farnham Surrey (wife of Delves Broughton) who died 9 November 1916 Probate London 9 February 1917 to the said Delves Broughton Lieutenant Colonel (retired) His Majesty’s Army Brian Delves Broughton major (retired) His Majesty’s Army and Geoffrey Delves Brought, major in His Majesty’s Army.
