- Violet Isabel EARL, the daughter of Lance-Sergeant 5676 Charles and Bessie Earl nee Smith, 2nd Northamptonshire Regiment. Died 25th March 1913 aged 9 months. At rest in Pembroke Military Cemetery, Malta. P2/R2/G3
Charles was born at Woolwich 1884 to William and Rebecca. In 1891 he was living was living with his widowed mother and siblings at 11 Palm Street, Bethnal Green, London. In 1910 at Lewisham he married Bessie Smith in 1911 he was stationed with his wife Bessie in Malta. Bessie was born at Liss Hampshire in 1883 to Edward and Mary Jane nee Bridger.
In 1919 they had a daughter, Joan, born 31st October 1919 and baptised on the 22nd August 1920 at the Royal Marine Artillery Church, Eastney, Portsmouth. He was Band Sergeant 26116 1st Worcestershire Regiment.
