The heroic wireless operator who continued to record messages in the log of the shell torn Drifter, Floandi until killed by enemy gun fire. Adriatic Sea May 15th 1917.

He was the the son of Leopold Edward and Mabel of Winsmore Lodge, St Albans Road, Watford. He was born at Penn, Wolverhampton. He is at rest in Taranto Town Cemetery, Extension, (British portion) Italy.
