- Sergeant Pilot, 920876 Douglas Charles ROSS. 247 Squadron, Royal Air Force (VR) 247 Squadron Royal Air Force. Died 11th June 1941 aged 20. Son of John Herbert Ross, J.P., and Ethel May Ross, of Leominster, Herefordshire. Commemorated on a memorial plaque at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire, also on the Runnymede Memorial, Surrey.
