Just received this information

Hi there, I just wanted to make a correction for your records for the Donisthorpe and Oakthorpe, Leicestershire War Memorial. Private George Grice 12921 was my Great Grand Uncle and was son to Joseph and Ann. He was indeed killed in action 22/03/1918 in Flanders and is buried at Faubourg-d'Amiens Cemetery, Arras, France. The WW1 Service Record of the George Grice that you have mentioned who was son of Thomas and Sarah and actually survived the war, he was released back to the UK Dec 1918 as a coal miner.

Thanks for the information Melissa.
I dont suppose you have a picture of George do you?

More info about George Price
George was born in 1902 in Netherseal, Leicestershire (although it is now classed as Derbyshire). He was 16 when he died serving in Flanders in WW1 and he served in the Leicestershire Regiment as a Private.

Thanks Melissa

I have updated George Grice and is all the info I have found re a George Grice has been posted on the site. I would doubt that the George born in 1902 would have been in the army, sometimes questions can never be answered.
