- HUMPHREYS, Derek Joseph, Corporal 22972513, Royal Welsh Fusiliers. (Military Medal) Born 13th September 1935 and was killed on active service in Cyprus November 12th 1958 aged 23. London Gazette dated 28th May 1957 Awarded the Military Medal for combat in Malaya. in 1957 for outstanding skill and leadership in action against communist terrorists during jungle operations in Malaya
He is commemorated on his parents memorial in Mold Cemetery and is at rest in Waynes Keep Cemetery, Nicosia, Cyprus
