Lieutenant Frederick Claud Dennis, 17th Sherwood Foresters who was killed in action while leading his men in France on the night of July 31st 1916 aged 31. Son of Thomas & Sarah Jane of 70. Hartley Road, Radford Nottinghamshire. Commemorated on his parents memorial at the Notingham General Cemetery, Nottingham and he is buried at the British Cemetery, Gorre, France
