Extended Description
I took this picture during a visit to the Barracks in 2002. The Barracks were occupied by 12th Air Defence Regiment Royal Artillery at the time but my memories of the camp go back to 1983. This was the very first barracks I was posted to and at the time It was occupied by 39 heavy Regiment RA complete with M110 8 inch guns.....Fond memories.

The building you can see just to the right was, in 1983, the NAAFI and I believe it is today. The building (Centre) was REME, not sure what it is now but I am reliably informed that the building to the left which was the Regimental MT Office in 1983 is still the same.

Oh yes!, the Dome you see to the rear of the picture is the RAGTE or Royal Artillery Gunnery Training Establishment, Air Defence training Dome

Agreed, a bit of a dump but it had improved slightly in 2002 compared to how it was in 1983.
