Dermot Jepsen HENRY. 2nd Lieutenant, 5th attached to 1st Royal Irish Fusiliers. Son of James and May Jepsen Henry, of Swan Park, Monaghan. At rest in Crump Trench British Cemetery, Fampoux, France.
Gerald Marcus HUSTON. D.C.M. Corporal 28763, 7th Division, Signal Coy, Royal Engineers. Son of Mr. William. Wentworth and Elizabeth Victoria. Huston, nee Simpson of Astville, Killinchy, Co. Down. Born 13 August 1896 at his residence 1 Ashgrove Villa, Barley Mill Road, Belfast. His father was a Box manufacturer. 1911 he was residing with his parents and siblings at 2 Waterloo Gardens, Duncairn, Belfast. Died 7 December 1915 aged 19. At rest in Beauval Communal Cemetery, Somme, France.
G HOWIE. Private 3722, 1/4th Seaforth Highlanders. Husband of Annie Howie, of 6, Lady Street, Belfast. Died 3 June 1916 aged 34 years. At rest in Louez Military Cemetery, Duisans, France.
William JENKINS. Private 49245 1st Rifle Brigade. Born at Shankill, Belfast, Died 1 November 1918. At rest in Preseau Communal Cemetery Extension, Nord France.

His MAJESTY THE KING has been graciously pleased to approve of the award of the Distinguished Conduct Medal to the undermentioned Warrant Officers, Non-commissioned Officers, and Men, for acts of gallantry and devotion to Duty
Private W Shearer, 2nd Royal Irish Rifles.
For conspicuous gallantry on all occasions, especially near Hooge, on 11th November 1914, when he took a message into the trenches whilst exposed to most destructive fire. His absolute fearlessness has been most noticeable in dangerous situations

F WICKSON. It may be the following person. Frederick Charles WICKSON. Private 5106, 3rd Dragoon Guards (Prince of Wales' Own). Born 1882 at Usk, Monmouthshire to John and Mary Wickson. He married Matilda Todd Nugent at St Pauls Church, Belfast 23 December 1905. He was aged 24 years, soldier, stationed at Victoria Barracks, Belfast. His wife was residing with her parents at 24 Montreal Street, Crumlin Road, and later 102 Louisa Street, Crumlin Road, Belfast. In 1911 now in Wales he was residing with his wife at 14 New Cwn Terrace, Cwen, nr Newport, Monmouthshire. Occupation, timberman helper below ground at a colliery. Killed in action 31 October 1914. His widow was granted a war gratuity 14 April 1916, revised on the 28 August 1919 she was then called Matilda Hampton. Commemorated on the Menin Gate Memorial, Belgium.
Some notes from his army record.
He enlisted aged 19 years and 11 months at Belfast 27 December 1901 and transferred to Army reserve. His civilian occupation was a coachman. On the 1 January 1902 he was called to the colours and posted the Curragh. He was transferred to the army reserve26 December 1908. On the 5 August 1914 he was again called to the Colours, and posted to the 3rd Reserve Regiment. He was posted to the 16 August 1914 he was posted to the 3rd Dragoon Guards and was attached to the 2nd Life Guards on the 30 August 1914.
