D634 JOHN BLACKBURN. Stoker 1st Class P/K79634 Royal Navy on HMS Dispatch. Born 28 March 1909 at Burnley, Lancashire to Benjamin and Lily Blackburn, nee Hill. 1911 he was residing with his parents and siblings at 4 Laithe Street, Burnley. Enlisted 11 December 1928 on HMS Victory II, civilian occupation foundry labourer. Died in Central Civil Hospital in Floriana, Malta 2nd November 1933 aged 24 years from a fracture of the base of his skull as the result of an accidental fall through window of the Palias de Danse, Valletta.
